bottle thanks to bu11zeye. poured black with a tan head and lace. aroma was chocolate, dark roasts, vinous notes, caramel, and smoke. flavor was lots of peat, dark fruits, and vinous notes.

Draught at Københavns Øldage 2009, Valby. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma with hints of wood. Sweetish roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor with woody hints and some weak hints of smoke. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate and coffee finish.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The smell is malts, coffee, oats, wood, chocolate, and good. The look is brown to black with a beige colored head. The taste is malts, leather, coffee, roasty, wood, and smoke.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Dark brown pour. Smells of rich chocolate and bitter flavors. Almost the hint of smoked scents. Taste corroborates the scent. Smoked but a rich deep chocolate. Quite nice.

1L bottle/growler thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a black, glass coating body and minimal head. Aroma is nutty with smoke, caramel, licorice, sweetness, peat and coconuts. Taste is sweet and slightly vinous with maple, smoke, leather and dry Sherry. Thick mouthfeel.

From growler at RBESG 09 Sheffield. Yes, some weetish oloroso there in the flavours, but the Imp Stout dominates and I thought the regular conditioned version was better than the two barrel aged versions.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black color, moderate brown head. Aroma is roasted, coffee, smoke. Flavor is roasted and coffee, balanced oak. Bitter and a bit smoked. Dry finish.

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Valby. Pours a very black beer with a lightbrown head. The aroma has roasted and smoke with some berries. The flavor has sweetness and peated smoke. The palate is roasted and some bitterness. There is notes of acidity in the palate. Overall a good beer above average.
