Very dark with mocha soapy lacey head appearance. Medium mouthfeel. Coffee grinds, and smooth porter. Astringent at finish, and tongue tingling. Inbetween a regular and a Baltic.Hoppy, chocolate and mollasses.

Thanks to Maria for this Deep black and oh what a foamer no matter how carefully i poured this i got less than 1/8 iof a glass before it was full of foam!!... big coffee roast mal;ts nose ... dry bitter roasted... its the bitterness that really bites ... little charcoa and some nice chocolate ... but all told its too bitter for my palate.

Almost black with a thin but stable white head. Expected coffee and chocolate, roasted malt and slight bitterness. Straight forward, nicely boozy, a little thin in the mouth but a decent stout overall.

Aug 7, 2008 Bottled. Black colour mediumsized brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, coffee and also mild notes of chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, some alcohol, chocolate hops and a bit sour coffeeish notes too.
