Pours a cloudy golden colour with a small head. Aroma of floral hops, potatoes and some mold-like notes. Flavour of pale malts, floral hops, grapefruit, yeast and cardboard. Some off-flavours. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and hard carbonation. Finishes slightly bitter and citrusy. Not good.

Rating #760, bottle at Mahie and Jens

Well, it’s an yellowish amber coloured beer with a bit hazyness. Head is rather ordinary: No huge head, but it is able to form. Aroma is a bit hops and fresh, but caramellish malts - no sensation here. Taste is caramellish, a bit hoppy and rather malty. This beer is not very different from the Braunstein IPA, as I remember it. While this pale ale has a hoppyness that corresponds with the beer style, the almost-as-little-hoppy IPA, is too mild. This is no beer sensation, but is is enjoyable. No remarks what concers the palate. Overall one of the better Braunsteins, but I guess beer coming from this brewery, will always stay a bit boring.

Bottle at home. Hazy light yellow with an off-white head. Aroma medium malty (caramel), light hoppy. Flavor medium sweet, light bitter, almost like a weissbier. Light to medium body.

Bottle, 4.5%. OK hoppy aroma. Cloudy yellow/orange. Small stable white head. The flavour is yeasty with a bit of orangey hop to it. Low to medium bitterness. All in all a rather anonymous beer.
