1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Koelschtrinker (7053) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011
Getrunken beim RB Treffen in Düsseldorf am 6.1.07
Herber, etwas lascher Geschmack. Im Mittelteil erfolgt ein deutlicher Durchhänger, hier hat das Bier nichts Interessantes zu bieten. Im Nachgeschmack ist es dann penetrant bitter -; nun wirklich kein gutes Bier.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Mogwai (227) - Askeby, DENMARK - MAY 28, 2008
Bottle. Not really into pilsner and this one didn’t do anything to change that.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Gusgus (202) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAY 24, 2008
Bottle. Sulphury and slightly smokey. I get a very strange association of a ski-shop where the wax is put on. Pale golden color. with a normal head. Dry palate. grainy malt with a clean and dry bitterness. Clean dry aftertaste. High bitterness.

A pilsener with weight on the malty body and sweetness

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2008
Draught at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. One description that applies to all the Braunstein beers I’ve tried is clean. Sometimes a bit too clean even. However, in his case it’s a positive benefit. Nicely hoppy and very dry in a Jever-like German style. Crisp, sharp and refreshing. Just how I like Pilsner to be. Excellent.

500ml bottle @ Cardinal. Golden, slightly hazy body with a huge white head. Malty bread aroma. Flavor is malty, some hops and a fruity sourness. Medium body and a unusually sourness for a pilsner.
