(040308) yespr (6373), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 20, 2008 50 cL bottle, trade with Koelschtrinker. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. citrus fruity aroma. Flavour is bitter, citrc fruity and light wheaty. Ends with a lingering fruit flavour. shrubber85 (2506), Wallhalben, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany Mar 10, 2008 Bottle (courtesy of Koelschtrinker). Wheat/barley malt aroma with hint of lemon. Cloudy blonde color with moderate head. Sour lactic malt - rather bland. Extra points for being unfiltered - unfortunately doesn’t add much flavor. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 10, 2007 Hazy golden body topped by a white meringue that swiftly diminishes. Grain oriented nose, but also quite fruity, almost lactic, a bit like lemon sorbet. Surprisingly empty middle, but it comes back with more tartness towards the finish, rather hopless. Thin bodied, a bit sour, biting effervescence, not the cleanest Kölsch to be had, that’s for sure, but it comes across more complex, fruitier and quite flavourful, just not very balanced.
