33cl bottle, bbe 02.03.13. Unclear, light orange color, creamy, lasting white head. Light citrusy, yeasty, malty aroma. Flavor is grain, yeast, fruitiness. Spritzy mouthfeel, medum bodied, smooth and tasty. Could drink liters of this stuff. Great session beer.

As Freigeist Ottekolong: A hazed blonde kolsch with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice lactic malt with smooth epsom salts, very nice. In mouth, smooth malt with light lactic notes, berliner weiise like. At the REAL gastropub, Zwanze day, Dec. 1 2012.

330ml bottle. Hazy pale golden colour with average, firm, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, minimally husky aroma with a decent tart touch, hints of citrus, lemon grass. Taste is bitter hoppy on grainy basis, has a minimally tart touch close to "Sauerkraut". Combines hoppy notes of a good Kölsch with the naturalness of an unfiltered beer - nice.

Unfiltered light grapefruit appearance. Big bubbly head, some lace. A pilsner aroma. Noble hops delivering a light orange citrus flavour. Medium mouthfeel. Decent drinkability. Would be interested in trying this fresh. Thanks for sharing Radek.

Whole Foods, Bowery 40cl ($5): Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a nice white head. Aroma is yeasty bread and a bit of hops. Body is excellent. I like the low carbonation and the easy chuggability. Taste is mellow at the front, but gets a little hoppier towards the finish. Minimal aftertaste. Pretty good.

Pretty indifferent cloudy Kolsch. Poured a very cloudy golden with a frothy white head, minimal aroma. Medium body for the style, flavour slightly floral.

Poured into a perfect pint. 4.0 A: Faintly hazed wheat yellow color. Two and a half fingers of pillowy white head. Retention is pretty good and plentiful lacing is left. 4.5 S: Big nose on this. Tons of grassiness to the point that it comes off like a funk. Grainy maltiness with a moderate sweetness. Pithy lemony fruitiness. Hay and apple orchard. 4.5 T: Taste is equally impressive. Again grass and hay are the main attractions. Grainy malts with nice neutral sweetnss. Lemon rind. Really tasty. 4.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Very creamy and incredibly smooth. 4.5 D: So drinkable that I feel like an ass for only having this one bottle. Really high quality kolsch. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-03-2012 01:30:04

Bottle as Freigeist Ottekolong. Crystal clear golden hued pour with lots of evident carbonation. Medium sized, foamy white head supported by the vibrant carbonation. Good retention and lace. Aromas are malt forward, bready, straw, grainy, pils. Nice basic malt body. Light salinity, light grassy hop character. A touch herbal. Clean. No strong hop character (nor yeast or other character either). Flavors are strongly malty/biscuit like, tea like, light vegital DMS. Grainy, straw like, bitter (medium-low). A touch chalky with some DMS. Some bready malt, light salinity. Lively carbonation. Dry. Clean, and decently fresh tasting.
