Bottle at the Craft Beer Company Clerkenwell
Someone popped this open at the international CBC tasting and for that I am glad. While not the best sour or even a remarkable one it demonstrates that the style is not limited to only American, English, and Belgian breweries. I wonder who else is experimenting with them.

Aroma / Appearance - Cherry figs are the main feature of a bretty texture. Woody aspects heighten the dry feeling. Though not as intense as some beers it is in the ballpark. The body is a cloudy caramel and maple with a nice appearance.

Flavor / Palate - A dry bretty aspect sits underneath everything else. Sour oak, cherries, and woody aspects blend barrel and sour well. It’s not a show stopper but it gets the job done in the end.

Bottle at the Martin T tasting, CBC, 06/06/13. Acquired from Braustelle. Murky chestnut brown with a thin off white head. Nose is light tarte fruit notes, cats piss, light wood, orange, sugars. Taste comprises light damp wood, sour fuits, orange pith, touch of funk, cobwebs, subtle balsams. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light tarte fruit finish. Ok sour.

Bottle at ratebeer tasting at CBC. Pours light brown with a small off white head. Nose is sweet citrus, woody, molasses, funk and blood orange. Taste shows a great mix between blood orange and woodiness. Really sessionable stuff. Quite good

Süßlich-säuerlicher Geruch. Säuerlich malziger Start, danach holzig, rauchig, verbrannt. Abgangs Malz, säuerlich. Geht so.

Bottle at the source. Brown color, white head, solid lacing. Aroma of sourdough brownies. Tste is soft sourness and roasty malt. Decent.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2013 Bottle thanks to Joes. Unclear hazy reddish color, small white head. Aroma has a lot of herbs and spices, lightly sourish, barnyard. Taste red fruits, lightly sourish, very balanced. Quite like it. Nice beer, but too bad the aroma isn’t as nice as the taste.

Bottle @ joes. Very hazy copper colour with a small off-white head. Smells sourish, cinnamon, mocca and vanilla. Tastes red fruits and sourish, but also mocca and vanilla. Bizarre but i like it a lot. Silky, velvetty feel, medium body, lasting taste, soft carbo. Amazing, bizarre and very nice.

330ml bottle. Cloudy brown colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sourish aroma on sweet malty basis, fruity notes of blue grapes, plum, a touch of cinnamon that must stem from the hibiscus. Taste is sweet-and-sour, fruity, in the finish slightly unpleasant sourish-bitter and medicinal.

33cl bottle, bbe 12/2015. Says 6.5% on the label. Poured cola brown with a thin beige head. Aroma has sour old yoghurt and cheese with strong herbal notes. Whoa, not sure what to think of this. Flavor has the same feel, old yoghurt and herbs, light sweet and faint malty finish. Bad bottle? ( just a little fizz when opened, very thin head), or then my senses was not calibrated or up to this one.
