Pale straw colour. Spicy hop taste with a light, refreshing character. Very herbal. Typical German pils but a bit thin. Bottle @ Zeke’s.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with a minimal white head. Nasty nose of stale grass and malt - pretty sweet as well. Thin palate. Taste is a bland grain. Not good at all.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 shrubber85 (5052) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Bottle. Stale barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Very sweet corn/barley malt with hint of hops. Came in a clear bottle - still more like a cheap pale lager.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 crossovert (2777) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2011
11.2 ounce clear (WHY!?) bottle.
Pours into my glass a nice gold color, exactly like it did in the bottle... go figure... The head is bright white, large and tight-foamed.
Skunk on the nose, unavoidable skunk due to the bottle color. Once it dies down it is a very malty smell, I would have like more hops.
Th hops are more prevalent in the flavor, though there is a large dose of pils malt too. It is a bit different than most I have had. Perhaps some of the skunkiness leeched into the flavor.
It is a below average German made pilsener with an awful bottle color.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 DrnkMcDermott (2440) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - NOV 28, 2010
33 cl CLEAR bottle, 89¢ @ Binny’s. Oh, sweet Jesus save me! I now truly know what a SKUNKED beer is! I mean, this is what you hope to achieve by using clear bottles? Glad I left a bottle of Yeti that I also got with this beer as a reminder that Heaven still exists. Now I’m pouring into a .2L pils glass. Skunk is finally driving away, and I can find a bit of nice grainy smell beneath. Certainly an okay golden pils color under a stiff white head. Finally a chance to taste. Meh. Grainy, but at least recognizably pilsener grains. Excess sweetness, and a little volatile alcohol on the tongue. It does make up a bit for that powerful skunk hiding the bottle neck, but not much of a much. Someone can tell me this is better on draft and in its homeland, and I may believe them.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - SEP 1, 2010
Bottle.
A - Very clear and crisp golden color with a large, sudsy, foamy, bubbly, rocky, sticky, pearl white head. Really good retention with a sticky layer of lace left behind.
S - Pretty strong bready aroma with some corn/grain aroma, but not as much as you get from some cheap pilsners or Euro lagers. A very faint aroma of fruit. Strong pale malt aroma as well. Very sweet smelling with a touch of spice. Not as much skunky aroma as I was expecting from the clear bottle.
T - A lot of breadiness and pale malt taste upfront. Some grain and hay-like flavors also fairly strong. A bit of hops come out, but they aren’t that strong. Again, not as skunky as I was expecting. Fairly sweet overall.
M - Light body with moderate carbonation. Crisp and light feel with a touch of cottonmouth feel on the finish.
D - Pretty easy to drink and isn’t bad tasting. Not the most refreshing or tasty, but it is alright. Doesn’t really have me reaching for another, but I wouldn’t mind drinking another.
Notes: Not as bad as I was expecting, but nothing all that special. Around an average/slightly below German Pilsener. I wouldn’t turn it down, but I wouldn’t search for it. Many better German beers.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 AmEricanbrew (4123) - roam, Louisiana, USA - JUL 8, 2010
Clear golden color/ white head. Skunked, bready malt aromas. light bodied. Cheap, weak, white bread malt flavors with mild spicy hops.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 nuplastikk (2612) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 6, 2010
12oz bottle served in a German Pilsener glass. Pale, dull, fitlered orange-tan color. Soapy, respectable head. Classic noble hop aroma. Unimpressive body, with lots of watery, sugary tones. Too thick for a Pilsener, but not enough yeast character to be a good classic German Lager. Underwhelming and generally sub-par beer. Factory beer.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 nick76 (3583) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 12, 2010
The aroma is of grassy and rubbery hops with a not too sweet malt. The appearance is gold with a medium head that fades fast. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average for the style. Overall a pretty uninteresting and cheap tasting beer.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hogan873 (437) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - APR 10, 2010
Bright gold body with a very small white head. Okay aroma dominated by corn and sweet malt. Medium mouthfeel, average carbonation. The flavor is slightly better than the aroma. Sweet malt, corn, and honey that is not balanced by hop bitterness. It’s an okay beer.
