Hazy dark amber colour with small off-white mostly diminishing head. Aroma and flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel.

Dieses hier riecht nach vollem Aschenbecher, auch kein tolles Zeichen. Aber dem noch nicht genug, ich greife schon mal vor und verrate, der Nachgeschmack SCHMECKT nach ausgeleertem Aschenbecher! Der Antrunk und der Mittelteil dagegen gefallend ann doch ein wenig, wirken sie doch wie ein gutes Malzbier, brotig, aber nicht zu brotig und süß, aber nicht zu süß. Aber bei so einem Nachgeschmack bin ich sprachlos. BAH!

Geruch malzig und nach Zigarrenasche, was den weiteren Genuß schon fast verleidet. Süßmalziger Antrunk. Anschließend rauchiger, dann jedoch nach Zigarrenasche schmeckender Verlauf. Besonders im Abgang ist dieses Erlebnis intensiv und lange anhaltend.

The beer is jet black.Smells slightly roasty, malty sweet and light tatty and not really caramelly. Starts very sweet, after a few second comes an aroma of caramel and a mild coffee and spreads out very far and long! This is doubtless the strangest beer I’ve ever tasted. It does not taste really well, but every sip is unique and it’s almost addictive! What should I simply think of it?

Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, ash, brown sugar. Flavor is light heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091002]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear orangey brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of burnedd caramel and butter. Sweet roasted malt, burned caramel and a strange edge of ashtray. No real bitterness. 021009

It is black/brown with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has sweetness and notes of rye bread, syrup and malt. The flavour has a strong sweetness and the same notes as the aroma with the addition of hints of licorice. It is a tasty malt beer, but the sweetness is a bit too strong for me.

50 cL bottle. Pours golden brown with a small light brown head. Dense caramel and slight butterish aroma. Sweet flavoured with a nice roasted malty flavour. Ends sweet with a mix of caramel and breadish flavours.

Bottle, 1.2%. Slightly metallic aroma, some sweet hay, horses and brown sugar. Clear very dark brown colour. Small light brown head. the flavour is very sweet, creamy, caramelly. Strangely enough the mouthfeel seems quite watery.

The bottle looks really good. The beer in the glass also, but there is not much foam. Smells like a scharzbier. But it tastes not this way. Very sweet, but not too importunate. I like it.
