Draught from Partyfass. Clear pale yellow colour. Unstable white head. The flavour is mild, kind of wwatery, but clean.

Sept 2006 from BA: I got hold of this 5 litre cannister in a supermarket at the wine town of Cochem on the mosel river. It cost Euro 4.95, that is very cheap, so I was expecting a typical Euro Fizz Lager. I was pleasantly surprised, the beer is fantastic for the price I paid. Poured under the can pressure, it was the normal blonde, clear German Pilsner colour. The head stayed, even to the last bit of the can. The aroma was one of herbs mostly, but nothing to powerful. The taste was clean and almost sharp, a good example of the style. Pilsners don’t have a heavy mouthfeel normally, in my opinion, and this was no different. It didn’t last long, so the drinkability has to be good, the people we had round when we opened it all enjoyed it also. If you see it, give it a go.

Bottle. Blonde. This is a bit sentimental beer for me , because I have visited the brewery in 1991. Soft grassy hoparoma. Grassy hopbitter flavor with some soapy notes. The grassy almost herbal hopbitterness lingers on for a fairly long while in the aftertaste.

"Mehrfach DLG-Prämiert" - klingt gut. Ein gutes Pils - es schmeckt in jeder Hinsicht so, wie man sich ein Pils vorstellt. Hopfig, malzig, frisch, herber Abgang. Ich würde sagen: Das perfekte Pils! Test vom 27.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,13,13,11,10,14 - 12,45

500ml Bottle (Thanks to Igor at work) - Pale gold with a white head. Malt, grass, lemon and grain in the aroma. Moderately hoppy and slightly herby taste with notes of malt, citrus and a hint of soapy hops lingering in the finish. Not bad and fairly refreshing, especially when served cold.

Bottled. Clear pale golden, rich, firm head. Grassy nose. Bone dry with clean, crisp mouthfeel and light-medium body. Long salty bitterness. A good, uncomplicated pils.

5 liter mini-keg. Malt and strong grassy hops aroma. Golden yellow color with giant head but dissipates quickly. Sweet honey malt and mildly bitter hops flavor. Pretty good beer given the price.

5L Mini Keg - Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Alldrink Getränke just down the hill from Morlautern. Pours a golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and some hops. Flavor is typical pilsner, not a lot of hops, a nice smooth taste. Nice and dry in the finish.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a huge white head. The aroma has notes of straw and light notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt as well as a lighter notes of fine hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

5l mini cask from a local supermarket. Clear golden yellow with a large and rocky white head, rather persisitent. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied with a solid malty background and some nice aromatic hops with a resiny and grassy character. Considering the low price it was much much better than expected.
