2.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Lakeportís Corona clone. Well, not too close to Corona, more like Marca Bavaria. Just ehhh. (341ml bottle)

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Somewhat skunky but that dissipates early. Sweet and grainy with some creamed-corn-like DMS apparent in both aroma and flavour. Clear, pale, yellow with low , white head that diminishes to partial cover and ring. Light body is somewhat watery with very strong carbonation. Sampled at Mondial de la BiŤre 2005.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sample at the Mondial, from 341 ml bottle. I love the description, "A premium Mexican-style pils"...well, I know Iím getting quality now! Anyways, it pours really really light, clear yellow with rather stable head, little to no lace...a bit of DMS in the nose, creamed corn and some skunkiness, mmm...watery, sugary, very bland, nothing else to say, nothing to see here, move along, move along.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pours a pale yellow body with a thin white bubbly head. Weak bready aroma with corny and skunky notes. Taste is mostly watery with barely detectable corny and soapy hints, which makes it very strong for Coors light or Bud drinkers. Short and moderately bitter finish. To be stored in the carbonated water section of the grocery store.

1.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Very little taste, if at all. Closer to Corona then to Sol. Not very crisp or easy to drink, and the free can inside a 2/4 is little incentive.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bright straw with a foamy head that settles to lace. Everything else (aroma, taste, feel) is crap: skunky (clear bottle), grainy, sweet with little bitterness, too light.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
creamy head and mouthfeel. Bit of interesting orange colour. Lace. ABout as high as I have rated a Mexican style beer, but its clearly a below average brew from one of the weakest brewers in the continent.

1.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle: Poured a pale yellow liquid with very little head and a funny aroma (a bit skunky). Taste (for what little taste there is) is all corn and very uninspiring. I donít get why a Canadian brewery would try to replicate skunky corn beer from Mexico. Do we really need more of those type of beer.

Every now and then a place will experiment with attempting a ípremiumí *grumble* like a corona and fail miserably... here is a perfect example of that. Avoid this like the plague.
