A masterpiece of drinking pleasure. Meant to imitate the great classics from Mexico, and does so admirably.

creamy head and mouthfeel. Bit of interesting orange colour. Lace. ABout as high as I have rated a Mexican style beer, but its clearly a below average brew from one of the weakest brewers in the continent.

TFOB. Can. Fruity, decent fluffy head, pale yellow colour. Much better than I expected, but I still wouldn't buy it.

Heh Classy light beer . Intended for parties and summer refeshment only . Faint aroma but not repulsive .

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2005 Bottle (341ml). Sampled at the 2005 Toronto (Fort York) Festival of Beer. Poured a clear, slightly bubbly pale yellow with a wee white wispy head. Like all mezzo-american SILs - weak aroma of sour cream corn, icing sugar, weak stale hops, and barn-floor grains. Tasted weak too - sour mash, weak sour grains and tacked-on sucrose and/or corn extract. Nasty aftertaste - poured it off. My tasting note was "gimme a Corona" - and I hate Corona.

This may have been the worst beer i tried at the pechams tasting, Aromna of sweetcorn and very bad hops. Taste is similar with a terriblky bad tasting dry finish.

Bottle. Light yellow gold, as you can see through the clear bottle. Slightly skunky aroma with the initial pour, then just weak cereal grains. Limp grainy palate with a whiff of grassy hops. Not godaweful, but pretty uninspiring.

[1707-20080914] 341mL bottle. Yeast-drenched floor and straw wheat aroma. Clear, yellow body with a long-lasting foamy white head and quick centralized bubbles. Initial flavour is yeast straw then finishes florally with a long wet yeast aftertaste. Light body is grainy and watery. Not appetizing.

Closest thing that I can approximate the aroma to is the smell of a beauty parlor (mind you I have not been to one in years) with a bit of wet labrador retriever thrown in for good measure. Quickly dissipating paper thin white head. The can looks like a orange Shasta soda can or a cocktail mixer. Pale, light in appearance. Goes down halfway smoothly though. Oh, the flavor - tired, worn out hop flavor that does not inspire one to buy anymore of this. Is Lakeport the Gluek of Canada? Ok - time for the lime so I can choke this one down.
