From under the stairs. Pours mahogany with a collapsing beige head. Aroma of swimming pool water (briefly), port and overripe plum, red apple scattered with spice (cinnamon), bubblegum, malt loaf and cherry coke. Malt loaf dunked in cherry coke flavour with a faint warm of alcohol, chocolate and prune hints..more bubblegum. Seductive Belgian sipper wafting with spice, yeast, dried fruits and muscovado. There’s just enough roast and darkness there to balance it. Proef really don’t make much crap. And if this doesn’t get you feeling just a teensy bit festive you’re probably going to need more than a beer.

Bottle, bought @ Delirium, Brussels.
Pours deep dark brown with a medium, creamy beige head. Fizzy at first, then settles nice and creamy. Aroma is vinious, caramel, coriander, brown sugar, plums, raisins, cloves. Medium carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is mildly cocoa-powder dry, some coriander, chocolate, Belgian sugar, plums. Mild vinious with some slight sticky sweetness. Fine beer.

Pours out dark brown with a head that sticks nice to the glass, but colapses way to quick. The smell is liquour, alcohol, malts, caramel. A bit unpleasant warming alcohol. The taste starts sweet caramel, malts and spices. The yeast gets trough slowly, the aftertaste is better, more moderated then the actual taste. Full of taste, but not completely my stuff.
