Cellared 12 oz. competition bottle poured to a snifter with a clear, dark orange/amber hue, very modest, bubbly head foam that diminished quickly to a small ring and film, and left some light spots of lacing. The aroma was caramelly, some light, brown sugar sweetness, and light spice and fruit. Any pleasant aroma notes that emanated from the light head, abandoned the flavor, which was extremely sour, astringent, and hard to finish. Apparently did not last the cellaring since April, although I felt that it should have with the hop content and high abv. Will have to make it a point to have it on tap someday and re-review, since the other rating seemed to exude perfection.

Very exciting aroma of citrus and spice. Clear with light head due to high alcahol content. Taste is full with a burnt orange flavor meshed with light spices. Quite a special treat to sip on and would be very special to enjoy with a dessert.

Great full bodied, sweet and spicey beer. Great any day, not just the holiday!
