Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2011. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy caramel finish.

Cask (handpump) at Egham Beer Festival on 18 August 2011. Looks terrific - old gold colour, lasting head, excellent condition. Clean, with lots of biscuity pale malt. Hops are a bit muted. I would have preferred a more assertive, aromatic hop presence. I guess the commercial description is accurate - from the appearance I was expecting something zesty and zingy but it came over more like a bitter dominated by UK hops. Serviceable if somewhat unspectacular.
