MartinT (4307), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 20, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Roasted dryness and bitterness tags along subtle smokiness in this svelte and unassuming Porter.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam protects the brown-sleeved black.
-The body is relatively lean and aims at high drinkability.
-The smokiness is well integrated, but not present enough for my tastes in the style.
-The finishing roasted malt bitterness dries up the back end, but reminds you there wasn’t much malty sweetness to begin with.

beerbuzzmontreal (2697), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 20, 2008 Dark brown pour with a ring of light brown froth. Mild aroma of peated malt and chocolate. Intereting flavor of peated malt and chocolate, the peat is mild though. The body is medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. Taktik_MTL (1892), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada May 22, 2008 En fût. (Rating #1705)
