On tap Maine Brewers Fest 2002: Hazy yellow/orange color, rich malt and oatmeal(?) aroma. Smooth full mouthfeel, rich ending and slightly bitter. An odd but not unpleasant aftertaste, most likely due to the oatmeal in it. Certainly a unique brew.

On tap at the brewery’s "One night stand" event. Using oatmeal in a pale ale is a novel idea. It gives this slightly bland tasting beer a great mouthfeel and weight in the mouth. The aroma is pretty much pale malt with a hint of dingy cellar. The taste is pretty nice, albeit a bit boring, somewhat standard tasting APA, i like mine with more hop kick.

An interesting idea, I thought. Unfiltered/cloudy orange color, no strong aromas to speak of (hard to swirl around a 5oz. glass that’s full), chewy mouthfeel with a lingering bitter aftertaste. I’d like to give this another go but its damn near impossible to find - a rarely brewed beer from one of Maine’s smallest brewers.
