Paying homage to the Mighty Brazos River, This Brown Ale is the color of the river that runs the length of the Brazos Valley. A malty body mixed with a hint of chocolate, slight caramel

Good first impression. Faint malty aroma with a hint of nuttiness. Flavors were the same. Pleasant dark brown sugar color with an average weight.

Sample at Mongoose vs Cobra. Slightly cloudy brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Malty aroma with chocolate and caramel notes. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, chocolate and mild roast coffee. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Aroma is malt forward with notes of coffee. An opaque dark brown pour with a thin, mostly lasting tan head and abundant lacing. The taste is on the sweet side of the scale slightly. Toasted malts, bread and a nice bitter finish. Overall, a brown with some taste. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
