On tap at Brouwer’s in Seattle. Dark brown with red tint. Super long lasting tan head. Malt ball nose. Looks and smells like a fantastic beer. Unfortunately, that was the highlight. Taste is dark and malty. Mushrooms, earth, funkiness. Hints of chocolate. Eh.

Nose is moderately sweet and grainy, crackery like tom pointed out. Earthy hop notes as well. Pours dark brown with some red hues and a thin head. Toast, sweeter crackery darker malts, and earthy lightly danky bitterness that lingers for a minute. As it warms a little butter peaks through as does some alcohol. Thinnish body. Not bad.

draft at brouwers. pours a murky dark ebony, crimson at the edges. dense creamy tan head with tons of lace. mild graham cracker nose, maybe a little butter there. creamy medium body with active carb. biscuit, graham cracker, peppery earthy hop on the mid palate. longish earthy finish.
