500ml Can: out of date 9 days after opening. Poured into an old Schlossbrau stemmed tulip three times at home on 22nd Aug 2014. Golden, clear and bright, on top a full and deep white crown. Odourless and almost tasteless. Crisp and sharp in the mouth but lacks actual flavour. Refreshing and clean, a slight maltiness maybe, with a mild bitter finish. I had a can of this after working in the garden the other week and it quenched my thirst and satisfied my needs that day: on it’s ’review day’ however it was nowhere near as good or impressive.

My 50th Pale Lager rating. Can. Pale yellow with medium head. Aroma of pale malts. Taste is corn and some astringent bitterness. Not good.

500ml can picked up in the Potteries. A bog-standard Eurolager. Straw with a billowing white head; washed-out grassy hop aroma; soft cereal grain body with some grassy hops; and a alcoholic burn to finish, even though it’s only 4.8%. How do they do that?

Carbonated golden lager with a large frothy head. Ordinary aroma and quite a weak texture which makes it easy to drink.

4.8% pale yellow colour with no head, slight malt aroma, sweet malt taste, ordinary. Strong Lager? its not even as strong as Stella.

Can, from Rhythm & Booze, Scunthorpe. Gold, thin shortlived white head and low condition. Mostly sweet in the nose with some low fruity ester notes, starts soft and sweet in the mouth but quickly becomes estery and develops a chalky bitterness, finish is briefly bitter before quickly departing.

Aroma is of soap suds and the taste is dominated by alcohol, not a very pleasant drink

Can.Bought in a moment of madness. Golden appearance with a strange aroma on opening.Reasonably pleasant taste at first that soon fades into amazing blandness. At this point it becomes hard to derscribe something that isn’t there-like a taste. Awful.
