COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve aged our flagship strong ale in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for the last several months, and the result is a complex and fiery brew. You’ll get notes of chile, chocolate, cherry, vanilla, and whiskey in this behemoth of a beer. On draught for a very limited amount of time; available in 750 ml Champagne-style bottles until they sell out!

Not seein this one as a 95th percentile brew. The flavors and especially the nose just didn’t come together enough for that. A muddled caramel brown color. Nose is peppery, though the chocolate and bourbon eventually come in a little. Body is smooth. Flavor is light pepper, malt and caramel with more cocoa and barrel as it opens up. Good enough, but not nearly as exciting as it sounds.

Bottle at home. Pours tawny with a medium, frothy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, bourbon, tart cherry, vanilla and peppers. Flavor is moderate caramel and bready malt, medium bourbon, lightly tart cherries, spicy peppers and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours medium brown with a thick tan head and a fruity aroma. There is a strange dark malt flavor that starts fruity and sweet, then gets bitter. Peppery alcohol finish.

Bottle to tulip Consummation: Malty bourbon with a bite. Adjunct: Lots of plum in the aroma plus bourbon, sour grapes, and a touch of yeast; fizzy and sour mouthfeel with an aspirated cloud of alcohol; some cherry, chocolate and chili in the taste.

Bottle. Pours a near clear reddish amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has an odd combination of spice, earthy grains, oak and chocolate. Flavor is muddled as well with chocolate, oak, pepper and some earthy grains.

On tap at extreme beer fest 2016. Really nice rich amber color with tan head. Aroma is cocoa, booze, bourbon, vanilla. Taste is very boozy with bready sweetness prominent and cocoa at the end.

A very nice bourbon barreled chili ale. Pours a beautiful deep Amber with a thick white head. Smells of chilis, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Taste has a good amount of chili, but very well balanced, unlike most chili beers. Balanced by the bourbon and chocolate, with a warm finish. Had in the bottle.

Bottle from beer junction. Notes of vanilla and burbon are pronounced. A little carbonation on the backend. Not a bad beer"
