Formerly a collaboration with Ninkasi Brewing. IGA highlights the route that lots of new hop bombs are headed: light in body, lighter in color, and HUGE in citrus flavor and aroma. India Golden Ale or "I.G.A." is a showcase for two relatively new hops, Mosaic and Eldorado. Mosaic gives the beer a bright mix of stonefruit and tropical flavors along with a big piney backbone. Eldorados are fruity and soften the finish. Breakside keeps the malt bill incredibly simple to allow the hops to take center stage in this elegant and beguiling beer. 8.1% ABV 60 IBU malts: 2 Row, British Munich hops: Mosaic, Eldorado, Chinook

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2015 Huge citrus pine aroma in a golden pour. A very tasty brew with a perfect balance and lovely finish.

22oz bomber. L: pours a hazy gold with a gorgeous finger of fluffy head that stays and leaves good lacing. S: it smells a divine mixture of tropical fruit: grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple, papaya. So clear and enticing. T: although I loved the nose, it tastes a bit too fruity. There’s plenty of grapefruit sour and not quite enough hop bitterness. Still good though. F: it has a creamy start and then the carbonation and hop punch slowly take over. It builds over the palate nicely with each sip. O: definitely up my alley, and delicious whilst not too taxing on the palate. The ABV crept up on me unexpectedly as it drinks quite medium-bodied.

Draught @ Gastropuben KICK Malt & Mat, Kristiansand
Pours slightly hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, grape and pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long citrus, grape and piney finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Draught at HopScotch. Rich fruitiness, orange and pineapple, quite piney too, dry bitter finish. Good stuff, fairly classic but a pleasant iipa.

Bottle at tasting with Sean. Pours a clear golden with no head. Aromas of fruit (tropical), peach puree and mango (not directly citrus but ok). Thick texture, flat carbonation. Medium bitter, but that is well covered. Good

Bottle, 22oz. At Både &. Almost clear in the glass, golden in colour and with a small off-white head. Piney aroma with lots of orange zest, some malts in the back. Lots of bitterness in the mouth, lasting for a really long time. Orange zest, pine cones and a little malty touch in the flavor. Full body, quite dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation. Lasting finish, mostly on the bitter, hoppy side. Delicious and wonderful, sure a beer to repeat. 150821

Clear golden orange hue, fat lacy white head, mild citrus hop aroma, big fruity hop mouthful, slightly sweet and mildly syrupy - though not nearly as sticky and cloying as most IIPAs, big bitters. Im not a huge fan of the double IPAs in general, but this is the second time I’ve picked up a bomber of this stuff, so that says something. Oh yah, and the label is real nice, love the botanical art.

Fairly clear golden, with a bit of white head. Tropical aroma, with mild pineapple in taste as well. Fairly dry, and somewhat bitter, with fruity highlights. $6/20oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
