COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Breakside’s Jacob Leonard collaborated with Lompoc Brewing’s Bryan Keilty to brew this strong, hoppy red ale. On the grist side, the brewers included flaked rye and dark wheat. For hops, they turned to Willamette and Centennial. And to finish, they rounded the beer out with a bit of honey for more body. Enjoy this winter hop bomb!

Taster at Holiday Ale Festival. A hop bomb amongst all the dark beers of the fest. Surprisingly sweet and not bitter. A nice alternative.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers Offsale. Pretty straightforward IPA. Citrus nose and palate with a decent malt base. No surprises here. --- reviewed on RateBeer.com

Reddish amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big interesting malty flavor. The hops are strong with a nice sweet finish.

On tap at Breakside, pours a cloudy amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of dry citrus hops and caramel malt – quite a robust aroma that is deep and complex. Flavour brings out similar notes, with dry hops and caramel malts equally potent upfront, transitioning to quite powerful honey notes that linger on and on. Somehow it doesn’t become cloying at any stage, though the honey is dominant at the end. An interesting hybrid of styles with unusual elements. Great stuff.
