Tasted on 7/2/13 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Beermongers. Pours clear amber with a thick beige head that slowly recedes to average, uneven lace. The nose is primarily pine resin hops, but there is a nice caramel malt aroma, and just a hint of wild yeast funk underlying. The flavor is more aggressively hoppy with the funky yeast coming through more powerfully, and the caramel malt lighter but balancing. The body is medium and sticky with average carbonation and a long bitter resin hops and spicy/funky yeast finish.

Bottle:   Dirty orange, darker, large foamy sandy head, nice lacing.   Barnish nose, bright, bretty, a little funky.   Does have a hoppy nose, but its subdued.   Mealy and bretty on the tongue.   Flat hoppiness, musty, pixie stix like sweetness lingers.   Somewhat of an odd duck.   Its like a Bretted Danish version of an American Pale Ale.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Interesting beer...

GREAT idea. Gold pour. Fluffy white head. Nice aroma of a gentle IPA with hints of barnyard funk. Flavor is smooth and gentle, blending the sour funk of the brett with the hop profile quite nicely. Personally couldíve gone for a bit more of a kick in the mouth with the funk, but that could just be me! Extra points for an excellent idea!

Copper colored pour, fluffy white head. What a cool beer. Funky flavors, hops, yeast, some barnyard, earthy flavors. Dry and tasty.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear burnt orange body with a tall frothy beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, florals, pine, and herbs. Flavor of grapefruit, herbs, florals, caramel, earth, and brett with a dry, bitter finish.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours translucent copper with a foamy 3 finger beige head. Aroma is mild brett over caramel and floral hop. Med body or better. Flavor is bretty, with mild caramel and some indecipherable hop. Itís certainly towards the wild side. Itís quite hoppy. We need more ales like this.

Bottle... Poured rich, ruby reddish with an easy forming egg-shell hued head. This was hard to nail down. It failed and succeeded at the same time. I held a bottle for a couple of months after release hoping some brett would take over. But also had fear any of the fresh hoppiness would become stale. I hardly detected any brett character in this beer. It had a decent amount of sweetness but it succeeded with a nice floral, citrus punch of hop flavor without being too bitter. Iíd be interested to see now this beer does in a year.

Bottle from 16 Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a slightly cloudy medium amber, lots of lively head. Aroma is pungent sweet citrus grapefruit/tropical, not much Brett in the nose. Body is lively, dancing on the tongue. Finishes crisp with just a hint of bitterness. Not exactly my cup of tea, but is what itís supposed to be.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours a hazy orange/amber with creamy white/tan foam. Smells strongly of a red ale with some extra grapefruit/pine hops. Tastes all at once very bitter and very watery, has some definite wild notes to it, but come on early and get overwhelmed by the hops later on. Mostly thereís just too much bitter without enough flavor to back it up.

22oz bottle. A: Cloudy amber color with a firm and lasting eggshell white head. Leaves some etchings on the glass. N: Gloriously hopped with a ton of dried pineapple, grapefruit, mango, and pine. Citrus grove worthy. Tons of clementine oranges and tangerines back this up. Some caramel and cane sugar. I seriously canít stop smelling this; every whiff is so damn wonderful. T: Taste is very earthy and moderately bitter. Big biscuity base on this, and thereís a hint of the brett which is going to dry this thing out even further. M: Resinous and very very dry. Almost too much at times. Would fit in a lineup of San Diego IPAs no problem. O: An interesting merger of amber ale and wild ale. Could see this being a big smash in 6 months and I could also see it being so horse blankety that the senses revolt.
