COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic India Pale ale style - the favorite craft beer of the Northwest. This amber colored brew is loaded with four different types of hops during the brew day and then gets dry hopped. Our IPA has a huge citrus and pine character with a strong, but refined bitterness.

Thanks Dianna for sending. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking slightly hazy to semi - transparent bronzed brown to burnt orange color. The head was just a film of white foaminess just lightly gracing the top of the glass nicely. The smell had a dry to sweet pine to grapefruit-esque sort of underspiced slight pepper. Mmmmm. ..really nice. The taste was basically a dry sort of sweet citrus to underlying pine. A light dry citrus aftertaste accompanies a quick sweet sticky citrus/pine finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation sat nice for the style and for me. Overall, I say this was an extremely nice AIPA I would definitely bang again.

Draft @ Rogue Broadway. Amber, slight haze, thin head. Abundant grapefruit and pine, light caramelly malts. Fruity, pithy, grapefruit, sweetish finish like grapefruit soda. It is on the chewier side, cali-style.

On tap at the brewpub - Pours golden orange with an off-white head. The aroma has mango, other tropical fruits, grapefruit and sweet caramel malt. It has a medium / full body that is quite smooth and has soft carbonation. The flavor starts with lots of tropical fruits and the balancing caramel malt from the aroma. The finish is very heavy on the grapefruit. Very solid IPA.

Darn tasty IPA. Great color with a billowing head. Rich and wholesome hop flavors and aromas -- very green, grassy and fresh. Snappy. Good balance.

Pours an inviting honey color. Nose is grapefruit and pine. Grapefruit is first taste on the palate with a piney hop finish. Very balanced. Paired well with a burger and spicy fries. Very nice.

Bottle @ Three Notch’d Tasting. Light amber pour with a small head. The nose is nice and balanced. Lemon and wood, sea salt. Hints of tropical fruits, mango. A bit of sweet caramel. The taste is nice and bright, fresh. Mango and salt. Light grassy bitterness. Very dry on the finish. Strong carb, light body. Very good.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2015 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly yeasty (dough), with light notes of garlic and onion. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Retrying with a seemingly fresher batch, and it’s not as good as what I had back in December. More resinous and generic hop odor now, and a little doughy raw yeast and garlic/onion as well. Maybe they changed the hops a bit this batch or maybe the previous sample was a bit old and showing more interesting secondary characters (and less resin). Still nicely balanced...clean bitterness with low acidity and astringency, but yeah...not nearly as good as before. I may let a bottle sit around for several months to see if it returns to the delightful juicy character of the previous sample.
