COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic India Pale ale style - the favorite craft beer of the Northwest. This amber colored brew is loaded with four different types of hops during the brew day and then gets dry hopped. Our IPA has a huge citrus and pine character with a strong, but refined bitterness.

Contraband provided by Dallas. Tangerine, herbal hop aroma. Fruity hop flavor: tangerine, grapefruit, nectarine. Substantial but nice bitterness. Subtle malt flavor: biscuit, sweet.

This one poured a light orange color with an off white head. Aroma was of ornages and light tropical hops. Flavor was grainy, orange and peach. Very well rounded simple IPA.

On tap. A: Copper tinted orange. Fluffy off-white head. Good lacing. N: Mandarin orange, mango, pineapple. Pine needles in the rough. Toffee. T: Fruity sweetness. Hops are lending a light course of bitterness. M: Scraping. Medium body with plenty of resin. O: A sweet spot IPA for me. Nose isn’t strong, but the taste hits home.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Huge grapefruit and tangerine aroma. The flavor is again filled with grapefruit and tangerine hop notes, there is some pine character as well. The bitterness is soft and pleasant, the malt notes are bready/cracker. This is a fantastic IPA.

On tap. Amber with a frothy off white head. Found this one a little off balance with a large tropical punch, some piney hops, a growing abrassive bitterness, some caramel malts, moderate carbonation and mild+ body.

Pub taster at Darby's. I've had this before but just not too excited to buy it again. Clear gold, with a sustaining white cap. Aroma is pungent with pine sap, grapefruit and orange rind. Taste is mildly bitter with mostly sweet malt. Easy mouthfeel, with a sharp bitterness that fills out the brew. Lasting dry finish.

Bottle:   Orange side of straw, slightly dirty, thin to moderate sudsy white head, sparce lacing.   Piney nose, slight boullion, touch of pith and citrus peel.   Not real bright, but has some depth.   Has a boullion or almost a stew like meaty background... does detract a little.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Flat bitterness on the exit, some pith and musty citrus peel.   Not a bright or sharp IPA, and not all that bitter either.   Blech...
