Our take on the classic India Pale ale style - the favorite craft beer of the Northwest. This amber colored brew is loaded with four different types of hops during the brew day and then gets dry hopped. Our IPA has a huge citrus and pine character with a strong, but refined bitterness.

Slightly hazy golden pour. Aroma is ripe with oranges, mango, grapefruit. Full bodied, with lots of juicy fruits and a great bitter grapefruit finish to cut any sweetness. Great IPA.

2014-02-27, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-5-8-5-15=40
Hazy light amber color with creamy head. The malt base is good, with toffee accents; the hopping is good as well with tropical fruits, mango, and light animal component; this last one limits a bit the drinkability.
Good and fresh.

Amber color, clean, with medium sized compact head. Aroma is strong, a lot of hop character, very animal, some cat piss. Caramel flavor with a lean mouthfeel; quite dry; strong animal character, cat piss, hop resins, bitter oranges (in the order). Long final.
Excellent and aggressive IPA.

Bomber from local shop in Milwaukie OR. Pours a bright yellow with shallow head and nice hoppy nose. Smooth but hoppy taste; excellent local beer.

Rich deep copper coloured body with a thick, two centimetre tall frothy tan head. Aroma of ridiculously resinous hops with tons of pine, spruce, floral and especially herbal notes throughout. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop flavours throughout with a very nice pungent kick and a strong and balance malt bite. Aftertaste shows a very pungent and assertive resinous hop kick, but the light apricot taste (no sweetness) shows some good complexity. Overall, a very nice IPA with herbal and resin hop notes throughout and a great balance - great to sample and well worth finding! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$4.15 sampled at home in Washington on 13-February-2014.

Bomber. Clear copper orange, off-white foamy head fades. Citrus evergreen hop aroma. Crisp clean fresh citrus pine hop taste, mild caramel malts, quite floral later on. Average carbonation, lighter than medium bodied, moderately hopped. More sessional but still: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

On draught at Breakside Brewery. Golden color with bubbles. Light citrus aroma with some floral notes. Taste is not quite highly hoppy floral, grass, and citrus, with some malty backbone. A little too light for me, mostly because I have been spoiled by Breakside’s great imperial and one-off IPAs.

Contraband provided by Dallas. Tangerine, herbal hop aroma. Fruity hop flavor: tangerine, grapefruit, nectarine. Substantial but nice bitterness. Subtle malt flavor: biscuit, sweet.
