COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic India Pale ale style - the favorite craft beer of the Northwest. This amber colored brew is loaded with four different types of hops during the brew day and then gets dry hopped. Our IPA has a huge citrus and pine character with a strong, but refined bitterness.

Had this tonight at the 10 Barrel Boise IPA Beer Wars and it was certainly in my top 3 of the 16 IPA’s on tap tonight. Orange brew with a nice hop haze... great head and lacing. Tropical fruity hoppiness punctuated by a big grapefruit zest essence... very balanced light pale malt presence. Very drinkable with a light body and good carbonation... seems pretty damn fresh.

"Pretty run of the mill balanced iPa. Adequately hoppy with a good dose of biscuity and sweet malt. Bittwrsweet finish. Not worth going out of your way for, but nice enough..."

As of late I can not find the time to take tasting notes of each beer I sample. I would like to track and record my thoughts of each so I will just use the simple scoring rubric until more time is available.

Tap at Marciero. Nice hoppy nose, tropical fruits and citrus. Pretty clean malts. Flavors of stone fruit, rich malts, citrus and tropical. Not surprising but very tasty and enjoyable.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear yellow pour with an off white head. Grassy hop aromas. Mild mineral and bitter grassy hop notes. Good balance with a sturdy malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel.

Good IPA. Strong citrus and pine aroma that was promising. Copper-golden color with a full head. Full palate with some weight and smooth. Carbonation was good. Strong but non-harsh hops bitterness flavor with a crisp background with grains and some sweetness. Nice and tasty.

On tap at apizza schols. Pours amber with a rich off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with a nicely bitter finish. Great hop profile, very tasty.

Slightly hazy golden pour. Aroma is ripe with oranges, mango, grapefruit. Full bodied, with lots of juicy fruits and a great bitter grapefruit finish to cut any sweetness. Great IPA.

2014-02-27, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-5-8-5-15=40
Hazy light amber color with creamy head. The malt base is good, with toffee accents; the hopping is good as well with tropical fruits, mango, and light animal component; this last one limits a bit the drinkability.
Good and fresh.

2014-01-10, bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver, 8-5-7-5-16=41
Amber color, clean, with medium sized compact head. Aroma is strong, a lot of hop character, very animal, some cat piss. Caramel flavor with a lean mouthfeel; quite dry; strong animal character, cat piss, hop resins, bitter oranges (in the order). Long final.
Excellent and aggressive IPA.
