2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
[2/26/15] Draught at Breakside Brewery in Portland. Golden color. Aroma of DMS and a hoppy hint. Flavor has some graininess, a bit of DMS and a bitterish grassy finish. Rather light-bodied.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Beer Authority
Light gold pour with a white head into my outward-curving pilsner glass. Bready nose with a bit of grass. Flavor is richer than expected with plenty of lemon peel and a substantial Hallertau hop kick. More bread. Fairly prickly. A bit heavier than expected but darn tasty. A big pils but fairly a fairly honest one. I’d repeat this happily.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle - Slight cloudy hay color. It looks like hay and also smells a little like hay and grain. Taste was like a typical pilsner with move of a sweet flavor.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours bright clear yellow with a white head. The aroma is very malty for a pils with doughy pils malt which is rich for the style and some herbal hoppiness. It has a medium / light body that is fairly smooth and has light carbonation. The flavor starts off with dry saltine crackers, malt, some sulfur, herbs and pepper. The finish has dried grass added. Decent pils.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber, as Breakside Liquid Sunshine Pilsner. Clear pale straw, white foam settles and lasts. Floral citrus aroma. Taste is quite floral, lemony citrus, mild pils malt, soapy. Average carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Dry. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bomber - pours a lightly hazy gold - impressive lace - lively body - nose is big time diacetyl, with some floral hops and a mineral note underneath - soft mouthfeel, creamy carbonation - the diacetyl isn’t as potent in the flavor, but is still present - underneath that it seems like there is a mighty fine pils hiding - medium sweet pils malt, grassy hops, a mineral bite - the diacetyl just totally ruins this.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours translucent lemon/gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of fruit and mild earth/spice. Med body. Flavor is fruity/lemon with earth/spice. It’s pretty flavorful. Hops tend to hide the breadiness very well. Although it finishes less than dry, it works well. Oh so much tastier than the Mittel Europa pils. Well, maybe PU excepted. :)

"Meh. Nuthin stood out at all for this one. Standard grain bill, standard hops, color, body...you get the idea. Kinda...I dunno? Standard :) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..."

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rich gold, abundant herbal hops on the nose, the palate having some brighter citrus hops (all hersbrucker, though, apparently). There seems like maybe some of the heavier malt/hop dynamic of a pilsner that contrasts with this dynamic. So it’s nice, but also a bit odd.
