COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pumpkin beer brewed in the farmhouse tradition. This amber beer was made with over 50 pounds of locally grown pumpkins and buttercup squash. We spiced it gently with sage, cinnamon, and lemongrass and fermented it with a Belgian farmhouse strain. The result is a malty, layered, and slightly tart brew–completely different than your typical ‘spiced’ pumpkin beer!

Tap @ Breakside. So different than a typical pumpkin beer. Enjoy the hybrid with farmhouse.

On draught at breakside - pours cloudy deep copper color with medium thick head that slowly dissipates. Taste is nice blend of nutmeg, pumpkin, and lemongrass. Spicy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of pumpkin, body odour, perfume and flowers. Flavour of pumpkin spices, oranges, perfume and flower pedals – very artificial and cosmetic-like. Fucked up – totally strange, but not entirely undrinkable.

Tap @ Breakside... Poured hazy amber with an off-white head. Light, fizzy body, dry palate. Loads of spices here with grains and pumpkin tones. Nutty, pumpkin seeds, vanilla, and strong nutmeg. As it warmed I could taste some alcohol characters too.

Called a Biere de garde on the menu. But I was told this was the same boerhuis beer.. Some poempoen in the aroma. Orange brown colour with a thick white head. Fuller flavour than you might expect. Bigger body than I expected. Spicy finish.
