COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
How do you end a year in which you’ve made 100 different beers? a hoppy behemoth that used over 7 pounds of hops per barrel of beer, got two separate dry hop additions, and clocks in at over 11% alcohol. you need to have a deeply masochistic streak to desire this much hoppiness in your beer. it is a bruising, tongue-scraping, agressive beer with more punch than anything we’ve ever made.

Bomber from the brewery, bought on release day (Zwickelmania 2015). Large caramel nose, stinky hop mix, and some fumes. Deep amber straw color. Caramel is up front and center, turns sourish and bitter in mid palate, generous medium roastiness, Medium-heavy body. Seems to be a heavy hitter at first, but then it mellows out quickly. Flavorful yet somewhat mild for the body and the alcohol level. Thought it would be a little more impressive than it turned out to be.

bomber. Big malt nose, biscuits, peaches, oranges, some cat piss, grapefruit. Cloudy golden orange color with a thick fine head. Thick and syrupy flavor, peaches, oranges, dank, some piss. bit too thick and syrupy for me, though tasty.

Draught at alibi. Cloudy amber. Aroma of watered down fruit juice, citrus, soft biscuit. Taste is sweet with generous bitterness. Palate is tingly, but soft, smoothness. Not very sticky, and a long lasting dry finish. Did I mention this is soft? And smooth. My throat just got wrapped with a cloud. Not a debris-filled storm cloud. One of those white puffy ones that somehow looks like a turtle watering it's house plants.

Draught @ Alibi Room, Vancouver. Palet wrecker alert! Clear red copper, fine white head. Stewed fruits and massive, massive hops. Boozy, but not as much as expected. Killer...

[2/26/15] Draught at Breakside Brewery in Portland. Cloudy amber. Nice hops aroma with some pine, some fruitiness and a “green” note. Flavor of piney and fruity hops, slightly “green”, with mild sweetish maltiness. Medium-bodied.

On tap & The Yard. Pours medium golden with thin lacy white head. Aroma is boozy sweet medium caramel malt, oaky and earthy, sizable hops on the back. Taste is similar - big, juicy sweet malt; oaky dry finish with piney earthy hops. Plenty of booze but seems smaller than 11%. Tasty and drinkable.

Draft at Beer Junction, Seattle. Dark orange, lingering foam. Sweet grapefruit, dense heavy resin, body is dense, packed hops. Deep bitter, resin. Big beer done relatively well.

Tap at Beer Junction. Hazy orange. Vibrant hop punch in the aroma. Kaboom flavor. Dad would love this. Huge amounts of mandarin and pine-resin hops. Exactly what I wanted it to be.

On tap at beer junction. Pours dark gold. Medium carbonation. Very nice. A light funk blends well with the hop floral aroma. Strong but hides the alcohol well. Great beer.
