COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dessert stout brewed with lactose caramel and fleur de sel, inspired by our friends Tyler & Kim Malek at Salt & Straw. Tyler has been working on perfecting a lactose caramel syrup that mimics the flavor in his sea salt and caramel ice cream. After a few test blends, we’re worried that this might be the most addictive dessert beer ever made.

22oz bottle pours a dark brown with a tan head. Sweet caramel, light chocolate roast, cocoa powder, and sugar for aroma. Taste is pleasant, smooth creamy body with a rich caramel finish. Drinks like a milk stout, I would have liked a little more salt but this was enjoyable.

Draft at Rattle n Hum West with Linh, Brendan, Erica and Maggi. Pours a deep black/brown body with thick tan lacing. Super bitter roast and very ashy on the palate. Some sweet melted caramel and chocolate and lots of sweet sugary malts.

On tap at Alibi Room. Pours a very dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and a little salt on the background. Taste is sweet, roasted malt and some alchol notes, what is not really good as there is not much of alcohol. Burnt malt aftertaste. Would be better without alcohol in the flavour.

Location: 22 oz bottle obtained through Tavour Appearance: Almost black. Opaque. Finger of deeper mocha medium bubbles Nose: Deeply roasted malt. Caramel. Dark chocolate. Coffee. touch of vanilla. Taste: Caramel and sweet with a bit of alcohol evident. Dark chocolate rises towards the end of the sip and finishes with good dark bitters Body: Medium to full, smooth and satiny. Parting thoughts: A fantastic dark caramel beer with hints of salinity that keep it interesting.

650ml bottle. Pours a nice coca cola black color. Nice one finger, brown head that sticks around. No lacing. Nose is milk chocolate, caramel, salt. Delicious mouthfeel. Creamy. Beautiful beer. Fantatsic. I love this brewery.

650ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger of light mocha colored head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel with hints of coffee and vanilla. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness with a light coffee and roasted grain bitterness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a nicely crafted brew, with interesting blend of flavors, but a little bit thin in the body.

Lactose free caramel, wait what? Never mind the brewers deScription. This is a great beer with the salty saviry notes really set it apart from the pack.

Nice delicious smell, also beautiful thick fine head lingers. Oh man. What a taste, almost like a coffee stout with a few sugar packets. Vanilla flavor. Only issues: a little thin and maybe slightly too sweet

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and bakers cocoa. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, salt and light caramel with a smooth dry lingering salty cocoa finish.

On tap at McNally Taproom in Hillsboro, OR. Black pour with a small beige head. Big coffee aroma and taste. I don’t get much sea salt or caramel but I sure like this beer. Nice sweet finish. Full bodied.
