Nice resiny aroma. Well balanced. Flavor hangs on my tongue in a pleasant way once the beer is down.

Pours hazy orange with a medium white head and spider web lace. Smells of sage and hops, slight sweet citrus notes from the hops as well. Tastes of sage, lots of sage with a mellow, sweet, citrus hop finish. Medium body, smooth carbonation. I like it.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JohnnyJ (3041) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 7, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy golden amber, with medium, sticky head. Very nice lacing all the way down the glass. Citrus, grapefruit, piney hops, sage, floral notes, caramel malt, tropical fruit, and light biscuits. Very tasty and drinkable. Personally I think it is to big to be called a "pale ale" more of an IPA.

On tap at Breakwater. I’m told brewed with sage. Slightly hazy medium gold with a 1/2 finger white head, decent retention. Herbal (sage, obviously) fruity nose with some light floral perfumey notes. Flavor adds an earthy bitterness and a light lemon pulp tang, otherwise mostly the same. Bitterness peaked at a 5. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
