Poured on tap at Breakwater. Pours a burnished gold/ amber with little head and little lacing. Aromas of pine resin, citrus, and mild sweet spice. Taste is big in hops with sweet/astringant citrus and pine resin. Finish is dry with light-medium mouthfeel and slight sweetness.

On tap at brewery on my birthday. I cant believe this place doesn’t get talked about more in the SD brewery culture, the single IPA and this double were outstanding! Huge mango nose on this one and very citrus like all around. Big body and an overall fantastic DIPA in my opinion.

Tap at brewery. Hazy orange pour with a white slick of foam. Aroma is understated pine, light bitterness, and bready malt. Taste is clean hop bitterness with pine and perhaps a touch of citrus. The malt backbone is light and buttery before ending with a pleasant bitterness. Bit thick feeling in the mouth. Nice beer but more hops in the aroma and a cleaner mouthfeel would make it much better IMHO.

On tap at stone day before thanksgiving. Nose sweet strong iipa. Orange w dense head. Taste is nicely balanced if not actually plain for an iipa. Bit of sweetness out back and a nice clean finish. Can definitely taste the warming alcohol.

[Keg @ Stonefest] Clouded orangey amber hue. Pineapple citrus hop aroma. Well spiced hoppy palate, mild grapefruit and citrus, biscuity malt backbone. Not too agressive for a DIPA but still good.

Thanks to Popkas for getting this out my way. Served in a Mikasa tulip. Reviewed from notes. Pours moderate copper-orange color with a good, creamy white head and a bunch of nice, spotty lacing on the way down. The nose carries a good amount of tropical fruit and resinous pine hops. There is a bit of bready and lightly caramelized malt in the background. The flavor brings a nice hoppiness and also contributes a solid malt backing. A bit more than I’d like, though the hops are still front and center. Medium body with good carbonation and a nice bitter finish. Thanks again for this--a very solid DIPA. Serving type: growler

Sample @ Brewpub
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

tap at brewpub-pours bright orange with a big soapy foamy white head. real smooth nose is lite citrus but pretty sweet maybe a bit old batch. sweet hoppy flavors but real soft and pillowy if thats the word to use for the palate. alcohol well hidden here. long citric finish with some lite pine. slightly warmth on the finish but doesnt take anything away from this beer. a pretty decent IIPA oh, and Christina Rocks (and she is hot!)!!
