From the brewery on a beautiful Sunday afternoon before the Indy Jam. Copper gold in color. Hoppy aromas. Pretty medium bodied and smooth. Midline on the bitter hops with a good dry finish. Pretty solid IPA.

Draft. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and hops, the latter lending it notes of grass and grapefruit, leading to a dry, bitter, and grapefruity finish.

Fresh growler consumed March 2010. The pour yields a clear, dark golden amber body with a small, swirly, off-white head. Trace spots of lacing mark the glass. The nose is classic Cali IPA style, booming with juicy grapefruit and bitter orange hops, and equally resinous with notes of sticky pine, all with a very clean grain malt bill with subtle toffee underpinnings. There’s a bit of dank, bitter grass in the background for good measure. Flavors follow suit, again biting with oily orange peel, sharp pine, and dry grass bitterness. Malts are clean and well attenuated, showing just a hint of balancing toffee sweetness. The palate sports a moderate body and soft, even-keeled carbonation, finishing long, dry, and bitter. Excellent stuff. Damn, California is so spoiled when it comes to delicious IPAs. Why can’t we get it right here on the east coast?

Growler at RBWG 2010. Wow- I loved this stuff! Pours a nice mostly clear deep golden with a sticky white head. Aroma is prickly dank weed and tons of fresh citrus hops, tropical notes but mostly orange oil and some clementine, etc. Flavor is low on the crackery malts, light sweetness, just tons of prickly fresh green hops, citrus, grapefruit and dank weed- some resinous pine notes as well- good resinous bitter finish and pretty dry at the end. Good stuff!

Hazed gold pour with white head and lace. Sweet malt and citrus hops aroma. Taste mirrors aroma. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Growler @ Woodshop 5.0. Almost forgot to rate this one! Pours a mostly clear glowing sunset orange with a wispy off white head, nice lacing. Nice citrus and floral hop notes with some slightly roasted caramel malts. Finish was crisp and off dry, tasty stuff!

Had at RBWG 2010 courtesy CaptainCougar. Lots of fresh hop, almost cat pee, but it borders there (still good). Nice flavor as well, nice malt and hop balance.
