COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Extra, extra? You better believe it. We like to say it’s double extra special. The balance of malt and hops makes it truly one-of-a-kind. Warming malt notes at the onset with a hop kick in the back and opens up to a nice dry finish. Our small batch ESB is a big, strong traditional ale with characteristics that break tradition and a complexity that constantly surprises.

Brown, clear, moderate head. Hoppy aroma, sweet malty flavor with hop finish. It’s a good beer, but nothing particular stands out.

Bottle. A great aroma of inviting hops, caramel, touch of toffee. Sweet with some fruitiness and bazooka joe. Clear brown body with a slight amber highlight and an off-white head. Bitter taste, smooth and nice, strongly nutty and dry. Earthy with a touch of citrus. Very dark, swirling and tempting ESB - pleasant and addictive. Sticky malt, medium-light body, and dark florality adding a nice touch. Nice session (save for the abv)!

Tap. A heavy and ultra bitter ESB. The taste is intense with a hoppy aroma and the bitterest beer I have ever had.

12 oz. bottle: Clear copper bodied with a smallish off-white head, this has an aroma of toasted grain, caramel, a smidgeon of toffee, and floral hops. The sweet toasted malts provide a good support for the flowery hop bitterness that grows as the drinking progresses. The alcohol is apparent throughout, but the pleasant bitter bite keeps it in check and makes this a tasty drink.

Light brown. Bitter aroma. Storng bittery taste. Smooth. Crispy. Too bitter but still a quality brew.

Pours a copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is of toasted malts, chocolate, and a slight floral hop character. Starts off with the toasted malts and chocolate and finishes with some floral hops and some fruitiness on the finish. Decent but not really anything special.

Slightly sweet aroma, pours a dark reddish amber with minimal head. A smooth toasty malt beginning, ending with a long smooth bitter finish. The alcohol in this is very well hidden, I could very easily mistake this for a sessionable ale. About my only complaint is that it seems a bit overpriced at $15 a sixer.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear dark copper color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium bittersweet malty flavor with a smooth tingly bitter finish of average duration. Solid drinkable flavorful brew.

(Draught, Flying Saucer - Addison) Pours a dark amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, and some fruitiness. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel, hops, and a hint of wild strawberry in the finish.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2007 Draught > Flying Saucer, Addison. Met some guy named Brent/Brett Usry from the brewery the other night. He was a total a-hole douchebag and his beers are average at best but this one is solid. Great balance. Nice full palate. Good appearance to boot. Would like to see on tap regularily.
