Mellow bready/caramel aroma with nice grapefruity biting hops. A lot like DFH 90 minute. Body is more caramel with a bit of alcohol and steely cold at the end with a smooth but strong citrus hop finish. DaSilky1 (2033), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2008 draft-falling rock: pours clear amber topped with a thin layer of off-white froth. sweet grapefruity hop nose, and somewhat piney as well. overripe citrus hop flavors, significantly bitter and lacking malt balance, but certainly exhibiting a range of citrusy and somewhat spicy hop flavors. very rindish mouth too. pleasant but could be a lot better with a firmer malt backing. mwelsh13 (484), Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2008 12 oz bottle poured medium orange with an off white head that dissipated quickly. A very generic aroma: sweet malts and some hops. Slightly sweet body with some honey in there. Burnt sugar with the hop bitterness. Very middle of the road IPA. Might be stale. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Updated: Oct 24, 2008Picked up a sixer of this incredible beer and it was worth the price. Pours hazy copper with not much head. Intense citrus and pine aroma. Taste is full-bodied and delicious -- quite bitter but also textured with candy-like stickiness. Loaded with hops and malts. Compares favorably to Dogfish Head 90 Minute. This is among my favorite types of beer, and Breckenridge has perfected the style. One of the best out there. Indulgence (141), Ajo, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 8, 2008 I’m enjoying the 471 series, their oatmeal stout and vanilla porter are winners too... citrus hops, sweet malts in balance, alcohol spice... goes down very easily for such a potent beer... palate is oily... compares well to other IIPAs. hubcrawler (37), , Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2008 This is just a good, solid beer. Pours a nice clear copper color with a two-finger head. Picked up a nice amount of hops mixed with pine. Flavors of orange citrus and a nice hoppy finish with medium carbonation. This beer is not earth-shattering but its quality lies in its being so well balanced. Extremely drinkable and can hardly notice the 9.2% ABV. Definitely getting this again. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA
