COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy? Brother, 471 redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy. (Available at Breckenridge Pubs and Restaurants and bottled as 471 Small Batch Double Hopped IPA.)

On tap at Mainline in Old Town. Appearance: amber color, clear, finger of white head, great lace. Aroma: floral, caramel, resin. Palate: medium body, sticky texture, lasting bitter finish, average carbonation. Taste: bitter most of the way through. Overall, very ok by my standards, really hoppy, and I like the uniqueness, but I did not feel that the balance was quite there.

Pours a very clear gold. Aroma is of pine and citrus. Flavor is full of bitter hops and caramel and a citrus after taste. Finishes with a nice bitter finish.

Good. But there are indeed better. Quite good hoppiness. Malt bill needs to be more pronounced though.

Very good double IPA. However, in the grand scheme, only one beer can claim "more hoppiness than you've ever had in one place." I don't know what that beer is, but it isn't this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Murky unfiltered glass full of hoppiness. A very good DIPA, do not taste the 9.2 at all, well done!

bottle, small hoppy aroma, good lacing on the glass. Pours a hazy orange with a medium lt tan head. Flavor is strong grassy, floral, pine, chewy hops, Medium/full body, booze taste. Some medicinal pine flavors in there as well. Good as a double ipa.

http://imgur.com/90eNT5K - Pours hazy orange with fluffy off white head. Smells of pine, citrus, and mango. Drinks with good hop bite and moderate lingering bitterness. Medium to full bodied. Tastes of toasted malt and vanilla among citrus, earthy hop notes. Maybe a tad strong for the flavor. Good effervescence. A good IPA if lacking in subtlety.

Poured a hazy amber orange, nice thick head that lingered. Strong grapefruit and hop flavor with some sweet malt. Not to bitter but a good IPA. Wasn’t to boozy. A pretty good IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2014 An appealing amber-orange hue. Taste springs from strong American hops, featuring a strong grapefruit and orange rind foreground hoppiness anchored in a strong malt base. Sweetness balances the hoppiness, offering a Cointreau-like richness. An exceptional Imperial IPA

Great double hopped IPA. Has a very bitter white grapefruit and floral backnote. Awesome.
