Pours a hazy copper orange with frothy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is largely reminiscent of a barnyard/hay with a lot of bready yeast notes. Flavor is a mix of caramel notes, bread and nuts. Body is light with active carbonation.

On tap at the Rackhouse Pub. I think it was just listed as Breckenridge Imperial Pilsner but whatever. I t was yellow and smelled like a pilsner with an unfortunate hint of wet dog at first. As it warmed up it was gone so I can’t complain too much about the dog qualities. it had a fruity taste but also dirty and thick, not my cup of tea as far as a pilsner goes. Odell I think had this style nailed with their Double Pilsner but I would not get this again. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 06-08-2010 03:27:58

Gold with white head. Aroma is citrus, cool, hint of malts and grains. Sweet, slightly soapy initial taste. Sourish, bitter flavor, lemon seed vibes. I didn’t finish it. It didn’t feel crisp, it felt rather unfinished. It wasn’t awful, but I think they need to keep experimenting to get a better result.

Extremely pale gold hue wearing a small white head. Tart and unclean nose offers grainy malts hinting at DMS, while grassy and floral hops try to bring some confidence back. Light bodied, moderately high carbonation. Tart in mouth as well, restricted flavours all the way through, shy malts and not very aromatic hops. Dull example.

Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), trace hops (herbs), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Ouch. Zero for two on this visit. Calling this a pilsner is a stretch.
