Bottle. Brown pour with beige foam that is gone quick. Coco nose with some coffee. Flavour is chocolate and roasted malts , touch oily and thin I'd say for the style ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Friendly Spot. Pours a deep and dark black color. Aroma is chocolate, roasted coffee, and the taste follows. Not really sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From tap at Ginger Man. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, light chocolate. Sweet, chocolate and dark malty flavoured. Bitter and light roasted note into a medium dry finish.

Bottle. Slight nose of oily chocolate and black roast, a little tar and ash, but overall sweet and approachable. Pours a near-opaque brown-black with a short light brown head. Oily light/semi-watery body, persistently crisp, medium to strong sweetness with low-level bitterness but drenched in pillow-soft roast. Light ash, etc but much stronger berry and overripe fruit. A bit too technicolor for me, but still very easy and likable.

Soy sauce, mollasses, chocolate aroma. Pitch black pour with short lasting dirty brown head. Medium/heavy body, smooth with minimal carbonation. Soy sauce, molasses, alcohol flavors. Not what I expected and maybe a bad bottle (09012012 bottled date, so 9+ months old).

Mmm, chocolate. Deep dark chocolate pour with a thin mocha head that leaves a pretty ring of lacing. The aroma is robust in milk chocolate. The taste is semi-sweet and full of chocolate notes. I love the creamy and light mouthfeel. The 7.2% is hidden quite well which makes this easy to drink. Very, very good!

Aroma: Roasted and chocolate malt aromas, but very faint. Appearance: Black with minimum tan head that dissipated quickly. Taste: Medium sweetness all the way through. Palate: Medium body, slick creamy texture, soft carbonation, soft finish. Overall: First off, pricey as hell. I realize it’s a rarity this side of the Mississippi, but still. It was a smooth and creamy beer with hints of chocolate and coffee. Very solid, well developed, but not mind blowing.

Bottle. Poured a nice dark brown with a dark tan head. Aroma was roated malt and chocolate. Flavor followed with a little vanilla and sweetness. This one was pretty good, but not sure it’s worth $3+/bottle.

Of all the breweries i come across, breckenridge excites me the least, such unimaginatively made beers .. . pours out a slightly murky tan .. . mild mouth feel .. . old cocoa powder and dried out soil .. . quite the boring beer, has nothing to it .. . . Terri Schaivo’s favorite comedian is Carrot Top. #veggiechat

bottle. struggles to form a head. It is a thik, inky black with a frothy tan head that leaves good lacing. Smell is metallic, tangy, chocolaty, bread, slight roasted malt. Flavor is sweet and chocolatey, slightly metallic. Smooth but htin mouthfeel. It is decent.
