3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that doesnít stay around for too long. Thereís a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, milk chocolate, and some dark fruit and coffee. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but thereís also the addition of some molasses. However, for a chocolate stout I was expecting more chocolate in the flavor. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís creamy and goes down easy. Itís a decent enough brew overall, I think itís worth trying. Single bottle purchased from Liquor Barn.

Very nice chocolate aroma. Not too heavy on the palate. A decent offering that I would drink again, but have had some better choices.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The pour is a very dark brown color with an average, pillowy, tan head which is mostly diminishing and leaves minimal lace. The nose is ashy, full of burnt toast, dark chocolate, light dried fruit, and a moderate roast. The flavor slightly better with more rich dark chocolate, some burnt caramels, burnt toast still, raisins, and a touch of coffee. The palate is more than medium, creamy, silky, and less than lively. The finish is rich and smooth with dark chocolate, raisins, and dark caramels. To call this one an imperial is ridiculous. But the flavor and mouthfeel actually made for a nice beer. Not bad but not great.

Thanks Reg for the bottle. I really like this! Coffee nose with some chocolate. Great flavors of chocolates and toasty biscuits. Interesting balance of sweets and bitters, with the sweetness coming out on top.. Very nice palate, smooth and creamy.
Good finish. Going to look for more of this!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle. A black beer that has a dark tan head that is rich and thick. Nice lacing. Chocolate in the nose with roasted notes. Big chewey chocolate is tasted. Hops are tasted underneath and they are citrus and floral. There is also some grass and berries. Alcohol is barely tasted but there is warming. The berries and chocolate were highlighted in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz. bottle purchased at Sunflower Market, Tempe, AZ. Pour is black and thick. Moderate tan head, that diminishes without swirling. Little carbonation. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate, with sweet cream increasing as ale nears ambient temperature. Flavor is wonderful chocolate and just enough sweet cream. Finish is dark bitter chocolate, with some coffee notes. Very nice ale.
