12 oz bottle pours an opaque dark brown/black with a moderate but evanescent tan head and good rings of lacing. Aroma has chocolate, roasted malts, cream and oatmeal. Body is medium to full.with only slight carbonation. Taste is sweet all the way through with the roasted malts dominating the finish. Mouthfeel is creamy. One of the better beers from Breckenridge. Not a bad stout, but not one of the great ones, and certainly not an Imperial Stout, despite the name and cool picture.

Aroma of roast malt and chocolate. Flavor is sweet with a good amount of chocolate. Kind of a dessert beer. Might go well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Pretty boring. Black. Frothy tan head. Weak milky cocoa aroma and flavor. I guess by itself its not that bad but in a sea of 1000s of beers I can think of too many others I’d rather drink.

Bottle thanks to my friend Tony in a case bottle swap. Pours black with a slight tan head. Roasty aroma, dark chocolate and coffee. Bitter sweet taste with a slightly dry aftertaste for a cream stout. Lacing falls down the glass as it empties. Thicker than usual mouth feel for Breckenridge brews.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a muddy and ruby tint at the bottom and a thinnish, one centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of earth, roasted malt, cream, caramel and tons of dough and yeast. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong creamy and milky flavour with a lot of earth and caramel notes, some light roasted malt and egg flavour and a hint of vanilla - but a lot of yeast still. Aftertaste shows a lot of sugars and body with a nice subdued cherry and light fruit flavour. Overall, this is a nice beer and all about the body and creamy milky flavour - which shows well, if you can get past the oblique yeastie and bread flavour/smell. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 02-April-2013 for US$2.69 sampled at home in Washington on 16-April-2013.

Drought. Dark brown color with light amber creamy head, coffee aroma, sweetish creamy texture with coffee background, low carbonation, long finish. Nice stout.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours almost black with a small, but dense and lasting tan head. The nose has an unusual fruity smell, reminiscent of chocolate covered raisins. Rich and chocolately with a slight metallic note that transitions into a very flinty mineral note. That earthy flint note and a little roast comes out in the nose as the beer warms as well. Full bodied and rich on the tongue with a slightly dry, chalky finish. Tasty.
