Draught @ Headkeeper: This one pours a very dark opaque brown color. There was a dense tan head that lingers and leaves some lacing. The aroma is lighter than expected. Chocolate, some roastiness and a hint of sweetness. Some milkiness also. The taste is nice. There was a milky/silky mouthfeel. The taste has chocolate malts, some roastiness, a hint of citrus malts and a bit of lactose. Nice.

Pours a dark, oily brown-black, with minimal head. Fairly strong burnt-chocolate aroma. Flavor is a combination of coffee, licorice, chocolate, burnt grain, raisin. Pretty complex. Sweet finish.

Draft at the source. Dark brown, almost black with frothy tan head. Aroma is light, sweet cocoa/chocolate milk. Flavor is faint roasted malt with some chocolate and mild lactose sweetness. Overall, pretty thin and elements not working together well.

12oz bottle: pours an oily opaque black with mahogany edges and a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a lightly sweet toasty malty nose with some cocoa and dark chocolate. Starts with decent fullness and toasty malts with a good amount of cocoa and a touch of raisins before a drier bittersweet finish. Pretty smooth and well-balanced.

Very sweet Euro chocolate nose. Palate is silky, creamy, and chocolaty. This is easy to drink enjoyable stuff without much in the way of depth or dimension.

Black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is of strong milk chocolate and vanilla. Chocolate dominates the flavor with caramel, vanilla and a bit of roastiness. Full bodied, sweet with a creamy mouthfeel. Vanilla lingers long into the finish. Very solid brew, not too sweet, great body and tasty.

Tasty beer, but a bit too sweet for me. It has a bit of chocolate and vanilla, and some lactic-like sour-sweetness, but it’s mostly loaded with an overpowering syrup flavor. Unfortunately, balance suffers, as the bitterness is only mild; the roastiness is very soft; and the alcohol lacks bite. All that said, it’s still a decent sipper, albeit a dessert sipper.

Bottle from U pick 6 Erie. Poured deep brown with medium full head that dissipated. Lots of chocolate aroma in this one. Creamy texture. Medium full body. Medium sweet taste. Roasted malt and a good bit of cocoa in the taste and a bit of hazelnut. Not bad at all. Needs a little more carbonation and head.
