2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ericular (228) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Pours a dull cloudy yellow with low carbonation and minimal lacing. Smooth, low-key. Particularly tart and sour wheat. Not terrible, but not impressive. Might be nice on a hot summer day, but even then there’d be better options.

Draught as part of a flight, at the Breckenrdige tap room, on October 6, 2012 Cloudy yellow color, almost murky, white head. Lemon, fresh, sweet taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet malty scent.

Had on tap.
Poured a hazy straw yellow with a fairly thick 1.5 finger white head.
Some banana and clove in the aroma. Some floral and spiciness as well.
Flavor has mostly clove, banana, and bubblegum and tastes much like a typical hefe. There is a bit of tartness and the agave is detectable but it is quite faint and doesn’t really contribute much to the beer.
Overall, a fairly typical, unoffensive hefe that tries to be unique. Not something I would really seek out again.

12 ounce bottle pours a light murky goldenn yellow. Aromas of light wheat, light straw, and a touch of yeast. Flavors are watered down versions of the aromas witha touch of sweetness.

Draft at the source. A very hazy straw gold. Aroma is kind of a blah mix of watery wheat malt and mild fruitiness. Flavor is a semi-sweet wheat malt base with some citrus/agave and a mild hop finish. A decency summer ale.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 AndresTM (268) - Texas, USA - SEP 13, 2012
The wheat notes are really well masked behind boring grain and straw and something else that I assume I must attribute to the agave. There are some tart wheat notes in the aftertaste, but they’re barely perceivable. I was underwhelmed.

On tap at Wynkoop Brewpub. Pour is hazy orange in appearance with a small white head. Wheat, honey, flowers, and yeast in the aroma. Taste is typical American wheat, malty, lightly sweet, but very one dimensional and boring. Light body with medium carbonation. Nothing overbearing or off-putting, but pretty uninspiring and straightforward. Meh.

Tap. Pours cloudy gold/orange with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is straw and bread malts, citrus, floral hops, and light herbs. Flavor is sweet malt forward with light fruit esters and faint hops; sweet finish. Light body and low carbonation.

I like how the agave toned down the wheat taste. Made it more crisp but with a smooth finish.

12oz bottle. Solid entry from breck, I agree with other raters, it’s smooth, lightly carbonated and on the sweet side. Unique taste, pleasant in hot weather, for sure.
