A pre-winter winner.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very deep brown with a small light tan head. Aroma is sweet and lightly roasty, hints of cocoa, toast and grain, nutty and a bit of granola. Flavor starts sweet with the cocoa and a bit of fruit, getting a bit roasty into a lightly bitter and crisp finish. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Not a bad beer, but like less carbonation and a bit more body.

Bottle - Dark cola pour with a bubbly ring of tan head. Nose is dark, rich bready malt, a bit of milkiness, and some nuttiness. Taste is a nice blend of lightly spicy grain, chocolate, dark bread, and a hint of herbal hops. Finishes with a bit of milky sourness. Medium-bodied and slick, with mellow carbonation. Really understated, but man, this beer pretty much epitomizes fall. I’m not a huge fan of the milkiness, but the rest I like quite a bit.

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Deep, dark brown appearance with a small, lingering tan head and light lacing. Aroma and dark nuty malts, toasted grains, milk chocolate, roast, light caramel and a touch of yeast. Similar flavor, smooth, creamy and malty with mild sweetness. Medium body, a little thin, with a lasting finish. Better than expected.

Draft sample at Cincy Beerfest 2014 on Fountain Square. Pours a hazy brown-amber color with a small beige head. Notes of toasted malts, leaves, brown sugar, nuts, caramel, and cereal. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Pretty sure the last time I had a Breckenridge beer was at one of these Cincy Beerfests like 4 years ago. They’re fine, but I remember why I don’t seek them out.

deep brown color; nice roasted malt aroma; a medium bodied beer with bready, caramle malt flavors; more of a brown ale than an Oktoberfest

Good autumn brew. Very malty and amber in color. Enjoyable but not my type of brew.

Meh, not quite sure what the deal is here. Not what I would consider a fall seasonal and a rather mild watered down one at that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Sedona Charlottesville, 8/28/14. Pours a dark amber with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, stone fruits, caramel, floral hops. The taste is toffee, caramel, stone fruits, mild hops. Medium bodied.

Very nice, understated beer. Roast malt with a hint of dark chocolate and some kind of herb I can’t place. Pours black with mocha head and lacing. Medium bitter finish with hint of sweetness. Tap at GBD.
