COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

A Moderately Dark Amber. Mine was cloudy. Kinda interresting. The smell is malty but a tad sour. Doesn’t taste too bad. Just the tiniest bit of hop bite smothered in caramel malts. I almost taste a little rasin or something. It’s alright. I have certainly had worse. A little boring, but not at all offensive.

"a standard amber...well balanced with caramel and nutty malts, and a touch of citrus and bittering hops. nothing stands out, but nothing was off either. one of those i’d have again if it were offered but wouldn’t buy."

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color. Small beige head. Caramel malt nose has notes of butterscotch. Tangy, bready malt flavor. Light bodied with notes of honey. Grainy and sweet with little hops to speak of. A bit lacking.

Tap @ Brewpub. Back to a lighter wheatier character. Not bad. Not too deer, not bitter at all.

Bottle Pour, minimal head faded fast, no lacing. Amber color, lack of any aroma. Light caramel malt flavor. No noticeable hops or carbonation. Not impressed.

I don’t know what it is, but it just has that "amateur brewer" aftertaste. Half-way decent. It got better as I got toward the end.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass purchased in Denver. Beautiful red amber color. Deliciousness caramel tones with a nice hoppy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear amber. Aroma and taste are light malts and caramel. Won’t pick up this one again.

Had this beer in a can and poured in a frosty pint. Very tasty. Slightly sweet / caramel taste with lovely nitro head!

I had this at Global Brew. Pours amber with white head. Taste carmel, roasted malt. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great amber color with delightful caramel, toast and floral aroma. Honeysuckle. Taste is stronger on the caramel and honeysuckle. A lighter amber body with some fizziness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
