Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Not a lot going on here. Watery and kind of bland. Not really worth getting again.

This ale poured a medium amber colour with a quickly dissipating head. Scents include corn, berries and cream. First swig was slightly thin but flavours of fruit and light hops make up for the mouthfeel. Finish is slightly bitter with fruity hops lingering.

Draft pour at the field location. Rating from notes. Pours a clear copper color with a foam head. Spice, malty aroma. Sweet caramel, and a light bready feature. Maybe a little nutty. Smooth and rich. Decent amber.

No real aroma. Average amber color. Palate was too light and watery. Carbonation was fine. Flavors were muted with a mild malt tartness and hop bitterness. At one time this might have been something but has since been passed up.

Pint-size poor, medium amber with an off-white head. Nose is predominantly malt forward, caramel notes, With dry biscuit qualities, and some Citrus notes. Also a little peppery on the nose with a little bit of zest. Flavor follows fairly smoothly with mild spice notes of hops and pepper. and a somewhat clean caramel malt quality. While it is fairly drinkable and it is seemingly proper to style it is not that interesting. I don’t love it but it is a moderately enjoyable amber ale. 16052015
