COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Great amber color with delightful caramel, toast and floral aroma. Honeysuckle. Taste is stronger on the caramel and honeysuckle. A lighter amber body with some fizziness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Some wonderful toffee and caramel flavors in this beer, coming out more as it warms. The best part of this beer was its taste.

12 oz can. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin white head. Aroma of corn, caramel, grains, and pale malts. Taste just like it smells. Sweet malts, grains, corn, a bit of saltiness, and a bit watered down. Lingering taste of stale malts on the finish. Not really impressed.

Bottle into an ale glass. Pour is a dark honey amber. Aroma is weak but malt. Taste is a wash and on the low side but clean. Finish is crisp.

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount, 4.4%. Amber and clear appearance with a nicely retained white head and thick lacing. Mild aroma of toasted grains, pale malts, caramel, toffee, light chocolate and light hops. Similar flavor, malty and smooth, mildly sweet and a touch of earthy bitterness. Light, soft body, pretty clean and easy to drink.

Serving: from tap at American Airlines Board Room. Aroma: light malt. Appearance: average-sized, creamy, off-white initial head with good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear dark-amber body. Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and lightly acidic, lemon and cardboard finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: nothing exciting.
