COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

True to style amber, merely a calm standard brew. Wonderful amber~brown color with a thick lasting tan head and tons of hearty lacing. Nutty aroma with ample biscuit and grass scents. Malty feel, but it has a watery finish. Balanced, smooth, and drinkable. Creamy malts, toffee, bread and nut flavors. Green, subtle hop taste. The flavor isn’t as pronounced as the aroma would indicate, overall a good amber that hit the spot.

Pours amber in color and is very clear. it has a small head, even with a vigorous pour, is off white and fading fast. Minamal lacing. Aroma is malty sweet no hops. Smooth and flat tasting with a decent malt bill along with so ceral and biscuits. Taste like a macro micro

Nothing impressive about this. Bland aromas and flavours. Some sweet notes, otherwise, not worth it.

Bottle- Pours a dark copper color with a decent head that fades to some lacing. Mild aroma of malt sweetness and a bit nutty. Nothing bad just a bit bland. Moderate flavor of caramel sweetness, nuts and a bit tart. Nominal bitterness with a fairly clean finish. Again just a bit bland. Fairly moderate body, smooth and a bit creamy. Just needs a bit more character. Easy drinker, good for a few. If it was only just a bit more robust.

12oz bottle. Rating #625. Clear amber pour with a white head that had some longevity. Toast and caramel are big upfront and throughout the aroma. Flavor is similar, easy to drink and decent overall. (2323)

Bottle from Wineworks in Marlton, NJ. Clear light amber pour with a short fluffy off-white head. Faint nutty aroma. Flavor of caramel, toast and cereal. Slight lemon note and a coppery hint. Very thin texture. Quick finish. Not impressed.

It’s OK. Smooth and tasty. No off flavors. The aroma and color is pleasing. I’d buy this.
