Commercial Description:
The chill of a Colorado high-country winter calls for a beer with extra flavor and strength. Here it is. At over 7% alcohol, with a sturdy texture and rich flavors of caramel and chocolate, our holiday seasonal is the fermented equivalent of a good fire.
The ultimate winter warmer.
Available: November-December

Poured into a pint glass, producing a nut brown body with a small mostly diminishing white head. Light, almost no nose at first pour (which was chilled) some sweet smells with medium hops. Full mouth feel with a medium bitterness, then a slight syrupiness with a touch of alcohol and hops. Nothing that is really offensive, but nothing that makes me stand up and say "Merry Christmas, Everybody!"

bottle - Pours clear dark amber with a one finger head. The aroma is of caramel malts. The flavor is sweet caramel malt and some spice, possibly nutmeg. It has a medium body and a light finish. It’s alright though I maybe expected a bit more from this seasonal brew.

Appearance isn’t great, the head dissapears after 15 minutes and has a tiny lacing. Smell is nice, spicy with cloves and a slight coffee flavor and a little scent of some dark fruit, like grapes. Taste is very clovey with a bitter coffee undertone. Mouthfeel is ok, but very watery.

clear brownish amber with a small beige head. weird aroma of white grapes, light fruit, and caramel. flavor is quite hopped with some white grapes and roasted nuts. can’t really figure this one out. sugary and sweet. light bodied. alcohol is hidden but it doesn’t really have much flavor or body.

Bottle to frosted mug: Pours dark brown with little to no head. It has a sweet caramel flavor with some roasted nuttiness. Good beer, will have to pick up more next christmas.

Dark red amber with a thick foamy head. Roasty sweet malt aroma and flavor with a slightly spicy, bitter taste at the finish. Thin body. A bit watery.
