RooftopRogue (423), Champaign, Illinois, USA Mar 7, 2006 This beer offers an aroma consisting of hops, barley, malt, clove, and pine. It is a copper colored solution with an off-white head that dissolves rather quickly. This thin beer tingles the tongue as a flavor infused with hops, malt, and pine flows over the tongue. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Mar 1, 2006 Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of spices, and some other hints, maybe fruit, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and a hint of hops with a nice dry finish. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Feb 12, 2006 Pours to a mahogany body with a thick creamy off white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is strong. Gingerbread cookies, raisin bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, christmas wreath. The flavor is much the same as the aroma but has caramel and white chocolate as well. The palate is creamy, medium bodied, and lightly spicy. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Feb 3, 2006 12-oz. bottle. Pours mahagony, walnut brown with a foamy off-white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla notes, aroma is fruity hop and malt (cookie) with trace yeast. Yeast bomb, malt (grain) flavor with medium sweetness, no acidity or bitterness, caramel notes. Medium bodied and smooth, clean palate. sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 2, 2006 Dark amber with a bit of red; medium frothy head; fair lacing down the glass. Aroma is malty with a light dose of caramel; some raisin and just a hint of pine. Flavor is fairly weak; slightly malty, slightly nutty; just barely shows alcohol. Medium body; sticky. A lame beer with a lot of potential, but this needs work. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jan 14, 2006 Pour is a dark brown with no head at all. I’m afraid this might have gone bad as there is no carbonation at all. Aroma is burnt malts. Flavor is again burnt malts with a touch of hops showing up in the end. Overall thin and watery. Gachupines (290), USA Jan 4, 2006 Dark reddish brown with a thin head. Taste is mostly malty and smooth with some slight caramel flavor. A little bit of a bite around the edge rounds it out. Decent average seasonal, but doesn’t hold up against most of the competition. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jan 4, 2006 dark burgundy with tan dwindling head. nose of tobacco and saaz hops. slight orange peel. well bodied and full on your palate. with rich deep flavors of caramel maltiness. quite good . the best of the lot the first time i was at breckenridge.
